Richmond Adult Community College (RACC) is launching a wellbeing project that begins with a free event held this Friday (31st July) from 10am-2.30pm at the college.

If you suffer from anxiety, depression, have difficulty sleeping, or feel you are at risk of developing these, then this event is for you!

RACC has been working closely with its local partners to develop and deliver a range of services and activities that they hope will help improve participant’s mental wellbeing.

A range of courses, tools and resources will be made available throughout the day to give participants the opportunity to try new activities and seek advice and information about what support is available from other local organisations. They will be able to sign up for free summer leisure courses and staff members will be able to get more information on how they can get more involved with the wellbeing project. Participants who have experienced difficulties with mental health in the past will also be able to sign up for various volunteering opportunities to offer help to those currently in need.

The day includes a free light lunch, as well as the chance to listen to a motivational speaker. Activities include tai chi, jewellery making, ceramics, drawing and a free iPad taster session.
